About Cindy

Thanks so much for stopping by my website. My name is Cindy Harrig Chambers and I am an Arizona artist.

I was born and raised in the Mid-West and have spent to past 39 years in Arizona and now reside in Surprise, AZ.

As a graduate of Indiana University, Heron School of Art, I spent my post-graduate years teaching K-8th grade art classes. When my son was born, I decided to be a stay at home mom and started my own home-based business – Cindy’s Special Tees. For 23 years I designed, hand painted and sold original art work on tee shirts. I have since retired from this endeavor and have returned to my first love – fine arts.

In addition to art, I love to travel and have been lucky enough to see all of the USA and many European Countries. My travels inspire my art work. From the Doors of Santa Fe to the Doors of France and Spain, I guess you could say “I have never seen a door that I did not like” and some I have liked so well that I reduced them to canvas. My family is sure I was struck by a door when I was younger and that has made a lasting impression on me - could be.

My studio is located in the WHAM (West Gallery Art Center) which is located at the intersection of Grand Ave. and Dysart Road in Surprise, AZ and I now sell my original oils, watercolors, and acrylics at various fine art shows in Arizona and now, here through my own website.
